Home is where the heart is

12

Home. Where is home? We often have this insatiable need for contentment. Searching and searching for something we don’t really know, chasing after the wind;  we don’t know what we are looking for, so we end up running after the wrong things. Possessions(life will be so much easier if I buy a new house, if I get the new pair of shoes, if I get a new car.), human companionship, acceptance from people (if people like me, life will be so much better; if I fit in, I wont feel so lonely). We can never be satisfied, because as soon as you get the new car, get the bigger house, have 100 like on Instagram, get a new boy/girlfriend someone will have better, someone will always have better than you. [Ecclesiastes 1:2 vapour of vapours and futility of futilities! All is vanity(emptiness, falsity and vainglory).3 what profit does man have left from all his toil at which he toils under the sun?…14 I have seen all the works which have been done under the sun, and behold, all is vanity and striving after wind. 15 What is crooked cannot be straightened and what is lacking cannot be counted ]

But there is hope, we have a home, a place that is being prepared for us [John 14:1 Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. In My Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am]. A place without sorrow, without tears. A place of pure contentment; a place that us believers of Jesus Christ are striving for, and that non believers are welcome to once they turn to God, repent and accept Jesus Christ as their saviour and the son of God and follow in ALL His teachings. [John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way the truth and the life; no one comes to the Father except through me]. And as we run the race here on earth, our relationship with our Lord gives us the contentment, peace and strength to finish the race set before us. [Hebrews 12:Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God]

Home. We yearn for it daily our souls cry out for it. Once you believe, it is open for you. This journey we are on has many trials and tribulations but all that will fall away once we see eternity with our Lord Jesus. The troubles of this time are not worth comparing to the joys and glory that will be revealed to us when Christ comes. [Romans 8: 18 For I consider (from the standpoint of faith) that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us! 19 For (even the whole) creation (all nature) waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly (because of some intentional fault on its part), but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay (and gain entrance) into the glorious freedom of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit (a joyful indication of the blessings to come), even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for (the sign of) our adoption as sons—the redemption and transformation of our body (at the resurrection)].

Let us hold on to our faith and keep our eyes on Jesus, as we walk on HOME . Press on my dear brothers and sisters.

“There is not a square inch in the whole domain of our human existence over which Christ, who is Sovereign over all, does not cry, Mine!”
Abraham Kuyper

Jesus Christ is our sovereign King and He rules over all. As a christian I feel that it is my solemn duty to exclaim that. It is a duty I carry with a joyful heart and I proclaim those words with gladness. This King I worship is also my friend and my brother …[Hebrews 2: 10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 For both the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are of the same family. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers. 12 He says: “I will proclaim Your name to My brothers; I will sing Your praises in the congregation.” ]

This same sovereign King, then died for our sins. He took the punishment that was meant to be ours and died in our place that we may see paradise. Oh sweet Jesus, your love is a love so great that non can fathom, a love so great we can never understand it. He suffered ridicule and scorn and died on the cross… [Romans 4: 25 He was delivered over to death for our trespasses and was raised to life for our justification.] He rose from the grave so that now, death has no sting  [1 Corinthians 15: 54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come to pass: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 55“Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”]

The King of kings and the Lord of lords loves us dearly, love beyond compare and measure. Though the world will be against you, people will laugh at you, always remember you are in good company [John 15: 17 This is My command to you: Love one another. 18 If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.19 If you were of the world, it would love you as its own. Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world] [ John 1:33 These things I have spoken to you, that in me (Jesus Christ the Prince if peace) you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.] 12351-jesus_hands_resurrected-1200w-tn

My King

https%3a%2f%2f36-media-tumblr-com%2f1b1783acfbd977713fbc9b9846b0f995%2ftumblr_nrz9m6vmdp1r7x6fro1_1280A beautiful truth by S.M Lockridge. My king was born king. The bible says he is a seven way king. He is the king of the Jews, – that’s an ethnic king. He is the king of Israel, – that’s a national king. He is the king of righteousness. He is the king of ages, he is the king heaven, he is the king of glory, he is the king of kings and he is the lord of lords. Now that’s my king!

Well I wonder if you know him. Do you know him? Don’t try to mislead me. Do you know my king? David said the heavens declare the glory of GOD and the firmaments show his handiwork. My king is the only one of whom there are no means of measure that can define his limitless love. No far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of the shore of his supplies. No barrier can hinder Him from pouring out his blessing.

He is enduringly strong. He is entirely sincere. He is eternally steadfast. He is immortally graceful. He is imperially powerful. He is impartially merciful. That’s my king. He is GOD’s son.  He is the sinner’s savior. He is the centerpiece of civilization. He stands alone in himself. He’s honest. He is unique. He is unparalled. He is unprecedented. He is supreme. He is pre-eminent. He is the grandest idea in literature. He is the highest personality in philosophy. He is the supreme problem in higher criticism. He is the fundamental doctrine of historic theology. He is the carnal necessity of spiritual religion. That’s my king.

He is the miracle of ages. He is the superlative of everything good that you choose to call him. He is the only one able to supply all our needs simultaneously. He supplies strength for the weak. He is available for the tempted and the tried. He sympathizes and he saves. He is the almighty GOD who guides and keeps all his people. He heals the sick. He cleanses the leapers. He forgives sinners. He discharged debtors. He delivers the captives. He defends the feeble. He rewards the diligent and he beautifies the meek. That’s my king.

Do you know him? Well, my king is a king of knowledge. He is the well spring of wisdom. He is the door way of deliverance. He is the pathway of peace. He is the roadway of righteousness. He is the highway of holiness. He is the gateway of glory. He is the master of the mighty. He is the captain of the conquerors. He is the head of the heroes. He is the leader of the legislatures. He is the overseer of the overcomers. He is the governor of governors. He is the prince of princes. He is the king of kings and he is the Lord of lords. That’s my king.

His office is manifold. His promise is sure. His light is matchless. His goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting. His love never changes. His word is enough. His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. I wish I could describe him to you… but he is indescribable. That’s my king he is incomprehensible, he is invincible and he is irresistible.

I am coming to tell you this that the heaven of heavens cannot contain him. Let alone some man explain him. You can’t get him out of your mind. You can’t get him out of your hands. You can’t outlive him and you can’t live without him. The Pharisees couldn’t stand him but they found out they couldn’t stop him. Pilate couldn’t find any fault in him. The witnesses couldn’t get their testimonies to agree about him. Herod couldn’t kill him, death couldn’t handle him and the grave couldn’t hold him. That’s my king.

He always has been and always will be. I am talking about the fact that he has no predecessors and he will have no successor. There is nobody before him and there will be nobody after him. You can’t impeach him and he is not going to resign. That’s my king that’s my king

Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Yea, all the power belongs to my king. We are around here talking about black power and white power and green power, but in the end all that matters is GOD’s power. Thine is the power. Yeah. And the glory. We try to get prestige and honor and glory for ourselves but the glory is all his. Yes. Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever and ever and ever! How long is that? Forever and ever and ever……. And after all the Evers there is amen!!!!
